England & Wales Blind Golf Charity Golf Day

Inclusive Charity Golf Day at TeeClub, Salford Quays

Play Golf. Build Understanding. Change Lives.

Join us on Thursday 23rd April for a unique inclusive charity golf day at TeeClub, Salford Quays, bringing together golfers, business owners, and supporters to raise funds for blind and partially sighted people.

This is more than a golf event. It’s an opportunity to experience golf in a way that builds empathy, connection, and real understanding while enjoying a professionally organised, premium indoor golf experience.

What Makes This Charity Golf Day Different?

Unlike traditional charity golf days, this event has been carefully designed to be:

  • Inclusive – Each team is paired with a blind or partially sighted golfer

  • Accessible – Indoor golf removes weather barriers and long course walks

  • Engaging – A sociable Texas Scramble format suitable for all abilities

  • Purpose-led – Raising both funds and awareness

Participants won’t just play golf, they’ll gain insight into what it can be like to live with visual impairment, helping to break down misconceptions and build understanding through shared experience.

Event Format at a Glance

  • Format: 4-Person Texas Scramble

  • Teams: 21 teams total

  • Structure: 3 waves of 7 teams

  • Bays: 7 indoor golf bays

  • Holes: 18 holes per team

Each team will consist of three paying players, paired with one blind or partially sighted golfer supported by the charity.

The day is structured to ensure smooth flow, a relaxed atmosphere, and plenty of opportunity for conversation, networking, and reflection.

Competition & Experiences

Alongside the main scramble competition, players can take part in:

Nearest the Pin – “See It Differently” Challenge

This powerful challenge allows participants with normal vision to wear visual-impairment simulation glasses while attempting a par-3 nearest-the-pin shot.

It offers a brief but meaningful insight into the challenges faced by people living with sight loss, turning awareness into lived experience, while keeping the event fun and engaging.

Prizes will be awarded for:

  • Overall Winning Team

  • Wave Winners (Wave 1, Wave 2, Wave 3)

  • Nearest the Pin Challenge Winner
